Studying Michael Jackson’s ‘Invincible’: You Rock My World II
By Elizabeth Amisu
Michael Jackson’s Invincible is by far one of Jackson’s most divisive albums, and academic writing on You Rock My World is often sparse and superficial. Hence, insights from researchers like you can really change the state of play with regards to how this final studio album and short film is understood.
In the second free video, I continue to explore Michael Jackson’s 2001 short film, You Rock My World, and the aspects of film language that he uses in order to reinterpret himself through the power of cinema.
Thank-you for your thoughtful comments on The Journal of Michael Jackson Academic Studies dedicated Facebook, Twitter, and Website. I read all the comments, and I’m grateful these resources are helping you study, learn and grow.
If you missed the first video in the series, I invite you to watch it now to learn about Michael Jackson’s unique short film, You Rock My World.
